It’s Friday! You know what that means! I’m linking up with Lisa-Jo over at The Gypsy Mama today and stretching my writing muscles.
The word today is together. The exercise is to write for five minutes, without backtracking, do-overs, editing or over thinking. Then link back to The Gypsy Mama and invite others to join in. Oh, and don’t forget to visit the person who linked up before you and comment on their post!
GO
We are together. That’s what matters.
When the work before me is hard, I bring myself back together.
When the tantrums are long and there seems to be no end, she needs us to be together.
When the going gets tough, we come together. We’re not tough enough alone. But the tough going can’t last when we face it together.
When we’re having fun, we’re together. When we’re sad, together can make us happy.
We dance together, play together, laugh together, cry together, love together, sing together, tumble together, cartwheel together, skip together, enjoy together, eat together, draw together, paint together, make music together, exercise together, climb trees together, ride our bikes together, drink together (yes, drink, because isn’t that glass of wine best enjoyed together with friends, family, and neighbours?
)
We come together and stay together. We stay connected.
In your mind, in your life, drift apart, but always come back together.
STOP

Great post! I liked your line about even during the tantrums. We’ve had some of those this week and being together makes things seem better than they could be.
Thanks! Yes, it has been one of those weeks for us, too.
What a joy it is to experience that felling of being together – a feeling I would not exchange for anything.
