‘Tis the season to be jolly! But sometimes jolly needs a helping hand. That’s where Bailey comes in.
And he always brings his Irish Cream.
‘Tis also the season of sweet Christmas treats like Eggnog and shortbread cookies.
Yes, I know. There are recipes all over the Interwebs for Baileys Irish Cream Eggnog. So why not just make it ourselves.
But we can buy Baileys with a hint of Coffee at the liquor store so as to avoid having to mix it with coffee ourselves (thus diluting the alcohol content). If we can do that, why can’t we buy Baileys with a hint of Eggnog at the liquor store? Life, simplified.
You know what they say. If you don’t ask, you don’t get.
So, I’m asking.
This Christmas, I’d like a shiny bottle of Baileys with a hint of Eggnog. Feel free to throw in a dash of nutmeg if you’re feeling extra generous.
I’ve been mostly good all year. I promise to be mostly good next year, too. I also promise to only drink my Baileys with a hint of Eggnog while at home or in the company of friends within walking distance of my home. (No drinking and driving for me. I’m always good when it comes to that.)
A fellow Baileys drinker (Come on. I know you are.)
While we wait for our friend Bailey to take action and for the big jolly guy to deliver, let’s make our own Irish Cream Eggnog. You’ll find two recipes below. Let me know when they’re ready and where you live and I’ll be right over. Cheers!
