Five Minute Friday – Home

Linking up with Lisa-Jo over on her site today.

It’s Five Minute Friday. The word is home. Here’s how to play:

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back to Lisa-Jo’s site and invite others to join in.
3. And then, absolutely no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community...

GO

Home is where the heart is. How many others will start their 5 minute Friday post this way? Home has also been the house we live in. It’s where we come together. It’s where we are who we are accepted as. Home has been a point of contention since having kids. Do we make our home here? Do we move? Do we make a home for our family in a different city? In a small town? In the big city? Where are we going to set up our home? But what it has come to mean…love. Home is where the love is. We’re at home sitting in church. We’re at home sitting together at the dinner table. We’re at home cuddling in bed before lights out and brushing our teeth in our too small bathroom. We’re at home because we love each other and wherever we are together…we are home.

Home is a tough topic to write about in five minutes! “Home is where the love is.” I like that – that’s what it is all about. Thanks for visiting at my blog – enjoyed having you there and visiting with you here.
