“You’re a stay-at-home mom? What do you DO all day?”

Read this! ā†’ “You’re a stay-at-home mom? What do you DO all day?”

If you follow my blog because you’re a mother, a father, a grandmother, a grandfather, a human being, you need to read this article.

I’ve got something coming down the pipe that follows in this vein. It’ll be up on the blog next week.

Meanwhile, here’s my favourite line from the article above:

“We get a lot of things wrong in our culture. But, when all is said and done, and our civilization crumbles into ashes, we are going to most regret the way we treated mothers and children” ~ Matt Walsh [Tweet this]

I liken this comment to when people tell teachers “It must be nice to have all summer off.” Seriously? You have no idea. Being a woman and watching my mother raise 4 children, I know what it takes to keep a household running. With even one child, time is short. I think stay at home moms are AMAZING, because they have to divide their time, plan, chart, map, and engineer. Not only that, but they are also nurturing their kids at the same time as they feed them, change them, clothe them, and do the laundry, the dishes, make meals, and all the little things life throws in the mix. Anyone who makes a comment like this simply has no idea… Raising children is a full time job!
