Adults Only Night at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre!

So, LEGO, yeah, love it. Apparently, so do my kids. I didn’t think they were that into it, but then I took them to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre and it turns out they are huge fans!

And in two days, in celebration of the 38th Annual Toronto International Film Festival, Hollywood is coming to LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Toronto.

So, if you’re an adult with a love of LEGO, you can become a star this September and visit LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Toronto for their next Adults Only Night!

You can walk the red carpet dressed as your favourite classic Hollywood star for their photo contest, test your movie knowledge by finding all of their mini-movie scenes hidden throughout Toronto MINILAND, and there will be costume contests, building contests, and more!

It’s taking place Wednesday, September 25th, 2013 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. (Adult admission from 6:00pm until 8:00pm) at Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre in Vaughan (Entrance 4).

I really wish I could go, but I have another commitment that night. (Insert really sad face here.) But if you’re going, let me know how much fun you had. I promise I won’t be too envious.

Fun at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre

Fun, fun and more fun. That about sums up our day spent at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre just north of Toronto.

I wasn’t sure my daughter would be impressed because she hasn’t been exposed to much in the way of LEGO in her life. But I had forgotten her penchant for building (she has a wooden block set handed down to her from a cousin that she drags out regularly, even if I put it away where she can’t find it).

So she was indeed impressed!

She spent so much time at this ramp, running LEGO wheels and LEGO cars down it for me to catch or to see if the cars she built would crash and fall apart or if they would stay together. After what seemed like hours, she ran down the steps and exclaimed, “Mommy, Mommy! Can you buy me boy LEGO? It’s so cool! It has wheels!” So now we are putting “boy” LEGO on her wish list for birthdays and Christmas. Continue reading
